Happy Holidays Everyone..

Christmas went way better than I could have ever imagined. It was nice that Kurt, Sandra, Ralph and I could all come together and be family for the kids.

Christmas started out on the 23rd for us. It was our 2nd annual pizza and presents, and the kids had a blast making their own pizza and opening their presents from Ralph and I.

Christmas Eve morning Santa arrived and brought the children a Wii, so there was much excitment in the house. 3:00 Kurt, Sandy, and Tyler arrived to have gift opening with us, and then we all went to Church as a family. It is very important for us that our children know that just because mom and dad are no longer married, that there is still peace and friendship among us all. I am so very thankful for the stong bond that Kurt and I have, as well as, how nice Sandy and Tyler are. Without their willingness to be close as well, things would not be near as great.

The kids went with Kurt to Grandma Barb's for Christmas Eve, and once again got to wake up Christmas morning with yet more presents from Santa. We explained to the kids that because they have two homes, Santa is nice and delivers to Mom's house on the 23rd and dad's house on the the 24th. The kids didn't mind in the least..

Santa brought Micaela clothes and a microphone, an ipod for Bethany, and Grant got a bow and arrow..

Christmas Day my family came over and we had a huge feast and more presents....

Christmas was so special this year. I thought it would be depressing, but it went well, and I am so thankful for my loving Ralph and great family.. Thank you everybody..

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.....

As always I am the host of the "Big" Thanksgiving meal. I thought it would feel rather different having it in this house, versus my "old" one, but really it felt no different at all. My mom and Les came over, as well as, Heidi and Jacob & Ralph and his son Kolden. All in all, it turned out rather lovely, and I had no complaints...

The picture above is Micaela's Thanksgiving play at school. She was a girl pilgrim, and really enjoyed saying her lines. So cute...

On light up night, Ralph was a sweet heart and took the kids up town for the Christmas stoll. I had had a rough day, and wasn't feeling well, so he insisted on taking the brude up town. The kids had fun walking into each store and looking for their prizes. Let's not forget Santa. :)

Today I got the tree up, and the presents put out. This year I opted for a small 3ft tree that sits perfectly in my window, so the kids aren't really quite sure of it yet. I explained to them that they would still get their big real tree at their dad's, so it was all good..

To end, I made it through my 1st Thanksgiving without Kurt. Oddly things went rather smoothly and with the exception of him carving the turkey, things were pretty much the same.

Now let's see if we can concure Christmas... That might be a different story..

Love Anjelika :)

My baby turned 5..

I am actually speechless, as it seems impossible that my "baby" has just turned 5. Seems like only yesterday Kurt and I brought her home. I can still remember the day like it was yesterday. Ashleigh had dressed the kids in their cutest outfits and hung a banner over her bedroom door that said, "It's a girl." We walked into the front door greated by Grant, and Micaela who were merely toddlers waiting for a new play mate. The fun then started as I had started a 5 year yourney of being a mother of 3. Back then had you asked me what I wanted more than anything, and I probably would have said a break, but now the thought of baby just makes my heart glow. Perhaps one day with "mr. wonderful." we will welcome an addition to the family, but for now life is great with me and the three peeps and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Bethany's birthday fun started on Sunday when I took the kids to Estevan swimming and for supper. It was fun. Monday, I let Bethany make her own cake, and we spent the day preparing for her pizza party. 20 friends and family joined us in making Bethany's birthday very memorable.. Truely another milestone.. Geesh, if the last 5 years went that fast, I dread the thought of the next 5 years...

My Evil flying monkey

Can't forget about my evil flying monkey... Ralph tagged along as the evil flying monkey. More appropriate I suppose from him to by on Heidi's shoulder because she was the bad witch, but he is mine, so I claim him.. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010 was one of the funniest yet. Dressing up as the Wizard of Oz was a blast, and everybody just loved our costumes. You can see more pictures on my facebook page.

On Friday my sister Heidi and I took the kids to the trail of treats in Williston. The kids had fun going up and down Maiin street collecting treats from the businesses. We were also lucky that Afinson photography was taking pictures, so we were able to have our entire group picture taken. I can't wait until I get those pictures back.

Sunday we dressed the kids up once again, and Kurt took the kids to the 4H Halloween party. Got to be a long day because the 4H party went from 300 until 600.. I took them trick or treating for an hr and a half and then Kurt took them. Trust me, they were beat and ready for bed when they were done.. lol

All in all, Halloween went great. :) Thanksgiving on the other hand that will be a different story. Kurt will be gone to Utah with his fiance/soon to be wife Sandy. Yes they are getting married. Actually right on Thanksgiving Day. The holidays are going to be bit of an adjustment for me, as Kurt and I have spent the past 15 years of holidays together, but where there is a will there is a way right?

Things are going well, and all is good.....

Fall Days....

Hi Everbody,
Fall is in the air wouldn't you say? Nice warm days, and cool evenings. The leaves falling off the trees.... Awww, I love this time of year. It also means that Halloween is on its way.

This year the three peeps and me will be dressing up as The Wizard if Oz. Micaela will be Dorthy, Grant Tinman, Bethany the Lion, and I will be Glenda the Good Witch. My sister Heidi and her son Jacob will also be dressing up along with us. She will be the Bad witch, and Jacob the scare crow. It is going to be so much fun.. I can't wait.

Next week starts my second week of preschool. I have 2 really good groups of kids this year, so I am excited to try some new and exciting things with them. Preschool keeps me on my toes, which is why I am usually very exhausted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. hahahaha While I haven't decided whether or not I will continue after this year because Bethany will be in Kindergarten, and I need a bigger income, I know that I am going to enjoy it while I can.

The kids are busy. We got Micaela all signed up for girl scouts, Grant in boy scouts, all three in gymnastics, dance, Sunday School and Wednesday night kids group, & Grant and Micaela in 4H.. It all keeps us busy.

Grant just started the 2nd grade and is bringing home homework.. Man, that's a bit early for homework.. Micaela is learning to read, and is seems to be enjoying school a bit more this year. Bethany is still in school with me.. Geesh my baby turns 5 in Novemeber.. Seems unbelievable.

Things are going well with Kurt and I. The alternating of 7 days on and 7 days off with the kids seems to be working. I am still having my "bad" days, but am working through them and am going to start seeing somebody. The divorce just happened way to fast for me, and therefore I really haven't adjusted well. Kurt on the other hand seems very very happy with his girl friend Sandy from Utah. She came to visit a couple weeks ago, and seems like a very nice lady. As hard as it is, I wish them both the very best. I remind myself everyday that everything happens for a reason, and this is the "plan" for us. He is still the worlds best father so that is all that matters.

All in all things are going well. Living life day by day, and enjoying my truely wonderful kiddos...

Happy FALL everyone...

Papa's Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend the kids and I enjoyed a nice weekend escape to Bismarck. We stayed at the Country Inn, and enjoyed the pool and Waterslide.

After filling our bellys with Olive Garden, we headed over to Papa's Pumpkin Patch for a beautiful afternoon of fall adventure. The kids played in the straw, ran around the pumpkins, watched them catapult pumpkins across a field, and just enjoyed the great outdoors. I was a bit worried as it was a cold 30 degrees on our drive to town Friday night, and even more worried to see it snowing by Wilton, but it was a lovely 55 degrees with a cool breeze, and lots of sun. The kids were so tierd they all took naps on the way home.

Once again, I dont know why I can't post pictures to my blog. I will be posting them on my facebook page for all too see...

Happy Autumn Everyone!!!!!
